Florida State Awards:

In 2023 , Governor De Santis announced $338 million in awards to communities impacted by Hurricane Ian …also regarding products and upgrades that "mitigate wind damage."

(Like Fence Friend vinyl fence installations).

Other local grants and benefits are also aimed at reducing the ownership cost for solutions that "mitigate wind damage.

Insurance credits:

In some cases, up to 88% of the property insurance component relating to "hurricane and wind damage" could in theory be reduced with Florida state credits if a certified inspector would verify installation of a product or solution on your home that "mitigates wind damage." To date nobody has attempted this …YET.

How does it work?

Via the removal of two stainless steel screws the device is armed. Either you go the lazy man route and simply let strong winds jostle the pickets out of the frames onto your lawn …or if you are the organized type tell the fellow that is putting up your metal storm shutters up to please remove the fence pickets to your garage.

Don’t worry about sounding weird, yes they heard you right, the fence is convertible, you can take the wall out leaving the frames standing to let the wind harmlessly blow through.
